Description
Exciting opportunity at Bear Creek Aquatic Camp as a Kitchen Manager for Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana! Lead kitchen operations and support camp staff in creating a fun and safe environment for campers.
Qualifications
- Safe-Serve food safety certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
- 6 months customer service experience
- 6 months experience in an industrial kitchen
- 6 months - 1 year of prior kitchen/restaurant management
- experience cooking and serving 50-150 people per day
- experience in meal preparation for restricted diets/food allergies
Responsibilities
- oversee and participate in preparation of daily camp food service operation
- order food and kitchen supplies
- plan and prepare balanced meals for campers and staff
- maintain inventory of food and cleaning supplies
- ensure sanitary integrity of facility and food products
Education
Must possess or be willing to obtain Safe-Serve food safety certification and current First Aid/CPR certification.
Working Hours
Non-traditional and long work hours with intermittent downtime, typically does not work at night.
