Qualifications
- Completion of a course of study leading to certification as a physician's assistant
- Current certification by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners
- National certification as a physician's assistant
- Licensure to practice medicine in New Mexico
- CPR and BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical exams
- Diagnose and treat illness
- Order and interpret tests
- Counsel on preventive health care
- Write prescriptions
