Qualifications
- Degree from a baccalaureate or master's program in physical therapy approved by an accredited organization
- Licensed to practice as a physical therapist in New Hampshire
- Minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist; community/home health experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with a reliable vehicle, insured in accordance with organizational requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services as outlined in the physician's plan of care
- Evaluate the home environment and assess muscle strength, mobility, gait, and range of motion (ROM)
- Direct physical therapy treatment and instruct patients and caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances
- Determine priority needs for physical therapy and report patient reactions or changes in condition to the physician
- Initiate physical therapy programs and educate other personnel or family members on specific phases of therapy
Education
Degree from a baccalaureate or master's program in physical therapy approved by an accredited organization is required for this job
