Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Hold an unencumbered current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Maintain board certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- At least one full year (12 months) experience as a CRNA
- BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Pre-anesthetic evaluation
- Perform preoperative and Intra-operative Care
- All aspects of airway management
- Provide appropriate non-invasive monitoring modalities
- Evaluate patient response during emergence from anesthesia
- Provide post anesthesia follow up evaluation
- Initiate and administer respiratory support
- Initiate and administer pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system
