Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Knowledge of patient care in a clinic
- Knowledge of back office skills
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical records procedures
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for visits with providers
- Maintain exam room standards
- Assist providers in preparing prescriptions and completing medical forms
- Coordinate patient care during and after office visits
