Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) is preferred but not always required
- Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning
- Remind patients to take medications as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands
