Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited two-year school of respiratory care
- Valid CPR certification
- Valid arterial blood gas puncture certification
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment
- Administer prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs to patients
- Respond to emergency code situations and administer CPR procedures
Education
Must have valid certification to administer CPR and arterial blood gas puncture
