Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory therapy
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered by the State of Minnesota (CRT)
- Two years of critical care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides respiratory care, including ventilator care, to patients at the hospital
- Stays current with evidence-based treatment strategies
- Follows OMC ventilator policies and procedures
- Documents care in the electronic health record
- Maintains a safe physical environment for patients and employees
- Always maintains patient confidentiality
- Attends annual review and departmental in-services as scheduled
- Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
- Other duties as assigned
