Description
Join our dynamic team at EASTSIDE OB-GYN PLLC as an Ultrasound Sonographer. Perform OB/GYN studies independently in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Qualifications
- Completion of a formal education program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- ARDMS Board Certification in OB/GYN
- Two years of OB/GYN ultrasound imagining experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Nuchal Translucency Certification thru NTQR (or the ability to become certified within the first 30 days of employment)
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for ultrasound examination
- Explains procedures to the patient prior to the commencement of testing and provides patient education related to medical ultrasound
- Ensures the appropriate consent is obtained
- Independently performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician
- Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Competent in reviewing patient chart(s), data entry into the EMR (Athena) and retrieval, as well as processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for reporting to the physician
