Description
Seeking an experienced Mainframe System Programmer to maintain and support CICS environments, z/OS operating system, and ISV products for a major Insurance client.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Mainframe System Programmer (CICS or z/OS or other) or Technical Specialist
- Experience with z/OS, CICS, TCPIP, Supersession, Omegamon, SMF, RMF, Top Secret, Storage systems, and other ISV products
- Proficiency in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, Assembler, COBOL, REXX, and SAS programming
Responsibilities
- Maintain and configure CICS environments and CICS web services
- Ensure availability of CICS regions and troubleshoot issues
- Support and troubleshoot the z/OS operating system and various ISV products
- Participate in Mainframe Software/Hardware/Operating System Upgrades
- Maintain Mainframe SCM application (Broadcom Endevor)
- Perform system performance analysis and apply performance tuning
- Participate in mainframe disaster recovery exercises
Education
B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
