Description
Looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team part-time, assisting with financial transactions, reporting, and grant management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associates in Business Administration/Accounting or 5+ years accounting experience
- School Accounting or non-profit experience preferred
- Criminal background check required
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process journal entries
- Reconcile Balance Sheet and Operating accounts
- Assist with benefit management
- Assist in payroll reporting and tax payments
- Assist in Grant Management within the district
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
- Participate in year-end financial book closing process
- Assist with district auditors
- Assist in procurement card transactions
- Prepare transparency reports as required by the State of Michigan
- Assist with purchase order creations
- Assist with AOP reporting for State of Michigan
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Minimum of Associates in Business Administration/Accounting or 5+ years accounting experience
Working Hours
25-40 hours a week
