Description
Looking for a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join Spartan Placements LLC, with 2-5 years of tax experience in public or private accounting. CPA preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business or related field
- 2-5 years of tax experience in public or private accounting
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA is preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and workpapers
- Delegate work to tax associates and interns
- Serve as technical resource for tax associates and interns
- Review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns prepared by tax associates
- Maintain regulatory compliance and create procedures for tax preparation
- Collaborate with senior managers in handling tax matters
- Provide tax planning services to individual and corporate clients
- Participation in firm-wide and tax department administrative projects
- Research tax issues and provide assistance with tax audits
- Review federal, state and local tax notices and draft responses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Review financial records, income statements, and expenditures
- Help clients effectively manage their tax obligations proactively
